October Wrapup

Well, another month has come and gone. It feels like Preptober just began, but here we are, with NaNoWriMo beginning tomorrow!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! (<= that was a scream of terror because despite all the preparation I'm very afraid I'm going to screw this novel up)

I don't feel like it's been too exciting of a month, but I find that my months are always much more interesting in review, so let's dive in.

Writing

I did get *some* more work done on Jack, Thief's Son, but not as much as there could have been. Fortunately, taking a break from other projects is allowed since it is October and therefore a month devoted almost entirely to NaNoWriMo prep.

The mess I made while trying to write an outline

Since(as I've mentioned before) I started working on the prewriting for this novel about a year ago, a lot of it was already done before we got to November. So this month I basically just had to do the plot work and the playlist and stuff. Today I'm going shopping for my milestone prizes, which will probably all be delicious. xD

I don't feel ready ready, but do you ever feel ready before you start NaNoWriMo?

Art

I'm pretty sure that I actually didn't do any art this month? Like, where did the month go?? I thought about a few different pieces, but did absolutely none of them for some reason. So here's a comic I did of my NaNoWriMo characters instead.

Yes, in fact, I do think it's funny.

Blog Stuffs

This month's most popular post was the writing meme dump I did on a day where I couldn't think of a topic for a post. I wasn't really expecting that, but I'll take it! Here's the link if you wanted to read it: https://scribbledfiction.blogspot.com/2019/10/i-couldnt-think-of-good-post-for-today.html

Other posts I did in October include:
The Stages of Agony When Starting A New Novel (the second most popular post this month)

I also passed the 120 followers mark I was aiming for on Instagram and am now reaching for 200, in case anybody's interested in following me there, here's the link to my writer Instagram: @scribbledfiction

Normal Life

I bought a car! It's a Honda, and it's blue, and it's so fun to be able to drive around and do stuff whenever I want!

My family and I also went to DC to see some art exhibits. One was on a pre-Raphaelite sculptor, and the other was a collection of pastel pieces by various artists. I liked them all! :D

Also in my normal, everyday, humdrum life we have this:

It was a costume for an indoor trick or treating event my family goes to every year.  If you can't tell, I'm Captain Jack Sparrow.

My facial hair is 100% eyeshadow and eyeliner.

So! How did writing go for you this month? Are you ready for NaNoWriMo? Let's talk in the comments.
