September Wrapup
So here we are again for another wrapup. I don't know what happened to September, but whatever. Now on to October! Can you say... *whispers in awe* candy??
But we're not talking about October today, are we? We're talking about September and the manner in which I wandered around aimlessly for approximately 30 days. Didn't help that I had a cold for the last week's worth of it. *shrugs* c'est la vie.
Writing
So I reached the end of Jack, Thief's Son which means I have to back around to the middle and fill the massive hole I skipped over in order to finish the draft. I'm not sure if I feel any more in control than I did, but I know where Jack's character arc ends up, so that should help me write his journey to get there. Hopefully. At least the words are going more smoothly now!

I'm also getting ready to do my major NaNoWriMo prep. I probably mentioned this somewhere before, but the idea I'm using is an idea I've been working on for a while, so most of the prewriting is already done. I just have to draw the map and do the plot work. Plus the stuff I normally have to do for NaNoWriMo, like creating a custom background for my computer and getting snacks to reward myself for reaching milestones.
Art
So this month art-wise is again not too great, but I did still do stuff, so I feel pretty good about it!
Since I did art of Archer last month, this month I did a painting of Wick! I did a progress video on Instagram if anyone is interested.
Lastly but not leastly, I did some doodles of superhero octopi inspired by my sister's upcoming NaNoWriMo project. Yes, that at the bottom is his name.
How was your September? Did you get a lot(or any) writing done? Let's talk in the comments!

Blog Stuffs
Unsurprisingly, this month's most popular post is A List of Quirks For Your Character, Part 2! Part 1 was pretty popular, so I thought I'd do a part 2 since it was so fun, and it went down just as well as the first one. I might do a part 3 sometime soon.
But here's the surprise. Last Tuesday's post is in slot number two! I didn't realize that my brain dump on the inner workings of optimists and pessimists would catch everyone's attention so much. Here it is if you wanna give it a read: Optimists vs. Pessimists: These Terms Are Not What You Think.

Normal Life
In normal life, I had a cold. Jk. I did, but that's not all that happened.
The guards that make you pay to go to the beach are gone, so we got in our first swim of the fall!
I went with my dad to the media reopening of the Washington Monument and took this picture:
And I also bought quite a bit of fall and winter wear that I needed. A lot of tops, including two very cute sweaters and a pumpkin shirt!
If only the east coast would cool off a little bit more so I could wear any of my new sweaters...
Aw, sorry to hear you had a cold! Hopefully you’re feeling better now. <3 Hope your October is amazing!
ReplyDeleteFeeling much better now, thanks! Hope your October is great, too!
